LOCATION

The GSC-3 conference will be from Sunday 1 July 16.00 hrs until Thursday 5 July 12.30 hrs. The location on Sunday 1 July will be the Botanical Garden of the TU Delft. The location on Monday until Thursday will be the Aula Conference Centre of the TU Delft.

From Monday until Thursday the location of the GSC-3 congress is the Aula Conference Centre of the Delft University of Technology, which is located at the heart of the University campus and in walking distance from the Delft city centre and public transport facilities.

The GSC-3 conference starts on Sunday afternoon in the Botanical Garden of the Delft University of Technology, which is located 750 m north of the Aula Conference Centre and even closer to the Delft city centre.

Travel information for the Netherlands

Passport and Visa requirements
Persons from most European countries and the USA can enter the Netherlands without visas. In case of doubt check the requirements at the closest Embassy or Consulate of the Netherlands to make your own arrangements.

Language
The official language in the Netherlands is Dutch.
The official language of the Conference will be English. No translation facilities will be available.

Bank and currency exchange
The currency is the Euro. Delegates may change foreign currency and travellers' cheques at the airport upon arrival, at many banks located in the centre of Delft and near the conference centre.

Credit cards
International credit cards are accepted for payment in most hotels and restaurants.

Insurance
The organizers of the Conference strongly recommend that participants arrange their own insurance for health, travel and property prior departure from their country. The organizers will not accept any liability for personal injury or for loss of, or damage to, property.

Electricity
Electricity supply is 220V, European standard.

Climate and Clothing
Mild winters and summers characterize the climate. Average summer temperature is 20-25° C in July. There may be showers and it is therefore advisable to bring a jacket for day/evening time and an umbrella.

Cycling through Delft
A nice and easy way to move around in Delft is by bike. At the Delft central railway station are bicycles for hire.
